爾時須摩提白佛言。唯世尊所說四十事。我當奉行令不缺減。悉使具足不違一事。
At that time, Sumatī said to the Buddha: "Only, World-Honoured One, as to the forty practices spoken by you, I shall respectfully practice them so that none is deficient, fulfilling them all without transgressing a single matter."
