68.92

佛告辯意。復有五事得生人中。何謂為五。一布施恩潤貧窮。二持戒不犯十惡。三忍辱不亂眾患。四精進勸化無有懈怠。五一心奉孝盡忠。是為五事得生人中大富長壽端正威德得為人主一切敬侍。

The Buddha told Bianyi: "There are further five things through which one is born among humans. What are the five? First, practicing dāna to enrich the impoverished with kindness. Second, upholding the precepts, not committing the ten unwholesome actions. Third, forbearance, remaining undisturbed amidst multitude of troubles. Fourth, vigor in urging and transforming [others] without laziness. Fifth, single-mindedly serving with filial piety and fulfilling utmost loyalty. These are the five things through which one is born among humans with great wealth, long life, upright and dignified majesty, becoming a ruler of humans, reverently served by all.
