68.96

復有五事常生卑賤為人奴婢。何謂為五。一憍慢不敬。二親二剛強無恪心。三放逸不禮三尊。四盜竊以為生業。五負債逃避不償。是為五事常生卑賤奴婢之中。

There are further five things through which one is constantly born base and lowly, as a male or female servant to others. What are the five? First, arrogance, showing no respect to both parents. Second, unyielding stubbornness, lacking a reverent mind. Third, heedlessness, not paying homage to the Three Honoured Ones. Fourth, making a living by stealing. Fifth, fleeing from debts and not repaying them. These are the five things through which one is constantly born among the base and lowly, as male or female servants.
