68.95

復有五事得為尊貴眾人所敬。何謂為五。一施慧普廣。二禮敬三寶及眾長者。三忍辱無有瞋恚。四柔和謙下。五博聞經戒。是為五事得為尊貴眾人所敬。

There are further five things through which one attains honour and nobility, revered by the multitude. What are the five? First, widespread and universal giving and wisdom. Second, paying homage and respect to the Three Jewels and to all elders. Third, forbearance, having no anger. Fourth, gentleness, lowering oneself in humility. Fifth, broad learning in the sūtras and precepts. These are the five things through which one attains honour and nobility, revered by the multitude.
