69.18

第四中陰有者。若閻浮提人命終。生於弗婆提界則有相現。見青㲲相。一切皆青。遍覆虛空。見其屋宅悉如虛空。恐青㲲墮。以手遮之。親族說言遮空命終。見中陰猶如馬形。自見其父。猶如䭸馬。母如騲馬。父母交會愛染和合。若男子生。作如是念。我當與此騲馬和合。若女人生。自見己身如騲馬形。作如是念。如是䭸馬何故不與我合。作是念已即受女身。是名生弗婆提第四中陰有也。

'As for the fourth intermediate existence: if a person of Jambudvīpa ends their life to be born in the realm of Pūrvavideha, then signs appear. They see the sign of a blue fine cloth; all is blue, completely covering empty space. They see their houses all like empty space; fearing that the blue cloth will fall, they raise their hands to ward it off. The relatives say that they are warding off empty space as their life ends. They see the intermediate existence as having the form of a horse. They see their father like a stallion and the mother like a mare, the parents uniting in passionate defilement. If to be born as a male, he thinks: "I should unite with this mare." If to be born as a female, she sees her own body in the form of a mare and thinks: "Why does such a stallion not unite with me?" Having thought this, she immediately takes a female body. This is called the fourth intermediate existence of being born in Pūrvavideha.'
