福業如果熟　不以神祀得
人乘持戒車　後生至天上
定知如燈滅　得至於無為
一切由行得　求天何所為

Meritorious karma is like the ripening of fruit; / it is not obtained through divine sacrifices. / A person rides the carriage of keeping the precepts, / and in a future birth reaches the heavens. / Decisively knowing that like the extinguishing of a lamp, / one can attain the unconditioned. / Everything is obtained through practice; / what is the use of praying to gods?
