In the middle sixth year of Emperor Jing of the Han dynasty, King Xiao of Liang went hunting on the Northern Mountain, and someone presented an ox whose leg emerged from its back. Liu Xiang considered this an 'ox disaster,' the fault of a clouded and confused mind. Down to the fifth year of the Yanji era of Emperor Ling of the Han dynasty, in Linyuan County, an ox gave birth to a chicken with two heads and four legs.
