In the third month of the first year of the Daxing era of the Jin dynasty, an ox belonging to Wang Liang, the Grand Administrator of Wuchang, gave birth to an offspring with two heads, eight legs, and two tails sharing a single belly. It could not be born on its own, so more than ten men pulled it with ropes. The calf died, but the mother survived. Three years later, in the rear garden, an ox was born with one leg and three tails; it died at birth.
