73.16

如佛說邪婬有十罪。何等為十。一者常為所婬夫主欲危害之。二者夫婦不睦常共鬪諍。三者諸不善法日日增長。於諸善法日日損減。四者不守護身妻子孤寡。五者財產日耗。六者有諸惡事常為人所疑。七者親屬知識所不愛喜。八者種怨家業因緣。九者身壞命終死入地獄。十者若出為女多人共一夫。若為男子婦不貞潔。如是等種種因緣不作是名不邪婬。

As the Buddha said, sexual misconduct has ten offenses: 'What are the ten? First, one is constantly targeted by the husband of the woman violated, who wishes to harm him. Second, husband and wife are discordant and constantly quarrel. Third, all unwholesome dharmas increase day by day, while all wholesome dharmas diminish day by day. Fourth, one fails to protect one's own body, leaving wife and children orphaned and widowed. Fifth, wealth and property are consumed day by day. Sixth, whenever evil matters arise, one is constantly suspected by others. Seventh, one is not loved or liked by relatives and acquaintances. Eighth, one plants the karmic causes and conditions of enmity. Ninth, when the body breaks up and life ends, one dies and enters hell. Tenth, if one comes forth as a woman, many women share one husband; if as a man, his wife is unchaste. Not committing such various causes and conditions as these is called non-misconduct.'
