又智度論問。菩薩何以生兜率天上。不在上生不在下生。是大福德應自在生。
Furthermore, the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra asks: Why is the Bodhisattva born in the Tuṣita Heaven, not born higher and not born lower? Possessing such great merit, he ought to take birth freely as he wills.
