84.16

第三著糞埽衣亦有十利。一不以衣故與在家者和合。二不以衣故現乞衣相。三亦不方便說得衣相。四不以衣故四方求索。五若不得衣亦不憂。六得亦不喜。七賤物易得無有過患。八順行初受四依法。九入在麁衣數中。十不為人所貪著。

Wearing rag robes, the third, also has ten benefits: first, not associating with householders on account of robes; second, not displaying the appearance of begging for robes on account of robes; third, nor speaking through expedients so as to display the appearance of acquiring robes; fourth, not seeking in the four directions on account of robes; fifth, if one does not obtain robes, not grieving; sixth, obtaining them, not rejoicing; seventh, cheap materials are easy to obtain and free from faults or harm; eighth, according with and practicing the four reliances initially received; ninth, falling into the category of coarse garments; tenth, not being coveted by people.
