四者發露向他說罪輕重。以露罪故罪即焦枯。如露樹根枝葉彫落。是為發露翻破覆藏現淨心也。

Fourth is disclosing and revealing to others the lightness or gravity of one's sins. Because the sins are exposed, they wither away, just as exposing the roots of a tree causes its branches and leaves to wither and fall. This is disclosing and revealing overturning and breaking through the mind that conceals and pretends to be pure.
