第一戒者。盡一日一夜持心無殺意。慈念眾生不得殘害蠕動之類。如清淨戒。以一心習。

The first precept: for the whole day and night, maintain the mind without the intention to kill, having compassionate thoughts toward sentient beings, not harming crawling or wriggling creatures; practice with single-mindedness in accord with the pure precepts.
