問曰。長短者得五三十日限分受不。答曰。依成實論。亦得多日。盡其終受。故十誦律。或晝或夜。受五戒亦獲少善。

Question: Regarding duration, may one receive them with a limited duration of five or thirty days? Answer: According to the *Tattvasiddhi-śāstra*, it is also permissible to receive them for many days or for the rest of one's life. Therefore, the *Daśabhāṇavāra-vinaya* states that whether for a day or a night, receiving the five precepts also secures slight goodness.
