89.27

若佛子。口自讚毀他亦教人自讚毀他。毀他因毀他業毀他法毀他緣。而菩薩代一切眾生受。加毀辱惡事自向己好事與他人。若自揚己德隱他人好事。令他人受毀者。是菩薩第七波羅夷罪。

If a disciple of the Buddha praises oneself and disparages others with one's own mouth, or encourages someone to praise oneself and disparage others; through the causes of disparaging others, the karma of disparaging others, the methods of disparaging others, or the conditions of disparaging others. A bodhisattva ought to undergo humiliations on behalf of all sentient beings, directing evil and insults to oneself and giving wholesome things to others. If one proclaims one's own virtues and conceals others' good deeds, causing others to suffer disparagement, this is the bodhisattva's seventh pārājika offense.
