9.15

又菩薩初從母胎出時。無苦無惱安庠而起。一切諸穢不能污染。不同眾生。譬如如意瑠璃之寶用於迦尸迦衣裹時。各不相染。此是菩薩未曾有法表成佛已在於世間。住於世間世希有法。世間穢濁不污不染。

Furthermore, when the Bodhisattva first emerged from his mother's womb, he arose serenely without suffering or distress. None of the impurities could soil him, unlike ordinary sentient beings. It was just like when a wish-fulfilling lapis lazuli jewel is wrapped in kāśika cloth: neither stains the other. This was an unprecedented phenomenon of the Bodhisattva. It symbolizes that after achieving buddhahood, he would be in the world and abide in the world as an unprecedented phenomenon of the world, unpolluted and unstained by the impurities and taints of the world.
