如新婆沙論。問八十隨好為在何處。答在諸相間。隨諸相轉。莊嚴佛身令極妙好。問相與隨好不相障奪耶。答不爾。相與隨好更相顯發。如林中華顯發諸樹。佛身如是相好莊嚴。又如金山眾寶雜飾。

As in the *New Mahāvibhāṣā-śāstra*: Question: Where are the eighty secondary signs located? Answer: They are between the various primary marks. They accompany the turns of the marks, adorning the Buddha's body to make it extremely wonderful. Question: Do the primary marks and secondary signs not obstruct or overshadow each other? Answer: Not so. The primary marks and secondary signs mutually illuminate each other, just as flowers in a forest illuminate the trees. The Buddha's body is thus adorned with marks and signs, and like a golden mountain variegated with numerous jewels.
