汝見繩床者。是地獄人。迦葉佛時。是出家人。恃王勢力。似如聖德。四輩弟子聖心讚歎。時彼比丘默受歎施好繩床及諸好飲食。作聖心受故入地獄。作肉繩床火燒受苦。至今不息。

The rope bed you saw is a denizen of hell. In the time of Kāśyapa Buddha, he was a monastic. Relying on the power of kings, he appeared to possess noble virtue. The four classes of disciples praised him with holy esteem. That monk then silently received the praise, the fine rope beds, and the various fine drinks and foods offered to him. Because he received them pretending to have a holy mind, he entered hell, where he became a flesh rope bed burned by fire, suffering pain without respite even to this day.
