芭蕉生實苦　蘆竹𥯤亦然
駏驉懷妊死　騾驢亦復然
愚貪利養害　智者所嗤笑

'When the plantain bears fruit, it perishes;
The reed and bamboo die when they flower;
The juxu dies when pregnant;
So too does the mule and donkey.
The fool's greed for gain and offerings harms himself,
An object of ridicule for the wise.'
