93.12

又長阿含經云。其飲酒者有六種失。一者失財。二者生病。三者鬪爭。四者惡名流布。五者恚怒暴生。六者智慧日損。又智度論飲酒有三十五失。如前受戒篇說。

Furthermore, the *Dīrgha-āgama* says: "For one who drinks liquor there are six kinds of loss: first, loss of wealth; second, occurrence of illness; third, quarreling; fourth, spread of an evil reputation; fifth, sudden arising of rage; sixth, daily decrease of wisdom." Furthermore, the *Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra* states that drinking liquor has thirty-five faults, as explained earlier in the chapter on receiving the precepts.
