94.33

又僧祇律云。佛言。若急下風來者當制。若不可忍者當向下坐。不得在前縱氣。若氣來不可忍者。當下道在。下風放之。

Furthermore, the Mahāsāṃghika Vinaya says: "The Buddha said: 'If flatulence comes urgently, one should restrain it. If it cannot be restrained, one should sit facing downwind; one must not release gas facing forward. If gas comes and cannot be restrained, one should step off the path and release it downwind.'"
