In the Han dynasty, when the family of Du Gu held a burial, a maidservant was mistakenly trapped and unable to get out. More than ten years later, when they opened the tomb for an adjoining burial, the maidservant was still alive. At first, she seemed as though asleep, and after a while, when they gradually questioned her, she believed she had only slept once or twice. When the maidservant was first buried, she was fifteen years old; after the tomb was opened, she lived for another fifteen or sixteen years, married, and had children. (The preceding nine verifications are taken from the Soushen yiji.)
