The Mahāyānasaṃgraha also says: 'By contemplating five meanings, one eliminates anger: first, contemplate that all sentient beings have been kind to me since beginningless time; second, contemplate that all sentient beings perish from moment to moment—who can harm and who is harmed? Third, contemplate that there is only phenomena and no sentient being—what can harm and what is harmed? Fourth, contemplate that all sentient beings suffer on their own—how could one wish to add further suffering to them? Fifth, contemplate that all sentient beings are my children—how could one wish to produce harm among them? Due to these five contemplations, one can eliminate anger.'
