又阿彌陀佛經云。佛告諸比丘僧。是阿闍世王太子。及五百長者子。却後無數劫皆當作佛。如阿彌陀佛。佛言。是阿闍世王太子。及五百長者子。住菩薩道以來無央數劫皆各供養四百億佛已。今復來供養我。阿闍世王太子。及五百長者子等。皆前世迦葉佛時。為我作弟子。今皆復會是共相值也。

Furthermore, the *Amitābha Buddha Sūtra* says: 'The Buddha told the assembly of bhikṣus: "This prince of King Ajātaśatru and the five hundred sons of elders will, after countless kalpas, all become buddhas, just like Amitābha Buddha." The Buddha said: "Ever since this prince of King Ajātaśatru and the five hundred sons of elders took their stand on the bodhisattva path for immeasurable kalpas, they have each made offerings to forty billion buddhas; now they have come again to make offerings to me. The prince of King Ajātaśatru, the five hundred sons of elders, and the rest were all disciples of mine in a previous life at the time of Kāśyapa Buddha; now they have all gathered again and met together."'
