15.21

又阿彌陀佛經云。佛告諸比丘僧。是阿闍世王太子及五百長者子。却後無數劫。皆當作佛如阿彌陀佛。佛言。是阿闍世王太子及五百長者子。住菩薩道以來無央數劫。皆各供養四百億佛已。今復來供養我。阿闍世王太子及五百長者子等。皆前世迦葉佛時。為我作弟子。今皆復會是共相值也。

Also, the Amitābha Sūtra says: The Buddha addressed the bhikṣu saṃgha: 'This prince of King Ajātaśatru and the five hundred sons of elders, after countless kalpas, will all become Buddhas like Amitābha Buddha.' The Buddha said: 'Since this prince of King Ajātaśatru and the five hundred sons of elders have dwelt in the bodhisattva path, through countless kalpas, each has made offerings to forty billion Buddhas; now they have come again to make offerings to me. The prince of King Ajātaśatru and the five hundred sons of elders were all my disciples in a past life during the time of Kāśyapa Buddha; now they have all assembled and encountered each other once more.'
