珠師問比丘言。鵝今於汝竟是何親。愁惱乃爾。比丘答言。不滿我願。所以不樂。珠師問言。欲作何願。比丘以偈答言。
The pearl borer asked the monk: 'What relation is this goose to you, that you should grieve so deeply?' The monk replied: 'My vow was not fulfilled; that is why I am grieved.' The pearl borer asked: 'What vow did you wish to make?' The monk answered with a verse:
