13.78

醉者為不孝　怨禍從內生
迷惑清高士　亂德敗淑貞
故吾不飲酒　慈心濟群民
淨慧度八難　自致覺道圓

"The drunkard acts without filial piety; / Resentment and calamity arise from within. / It deludes the pure and lofty gentleman; / It disorders virtue and ruins purity and chaste conduct. / Therefore, I do not drink alcohol; / With a compassionate heart I deliver the multitude of people. / With pure wisdom I cross over the eight difficulties, / Attaining for myself the perfection of the path of awakening."
