15.79

其有從瞋心　怨害向他人
後生墮蛇蚖　或作殘賊獸
譬如竹樹劈　芭蕉騾懷妊
還害亦如是　故當發慈心

"Anyone who, through an angry mind,
Directs enmity and harm toward others,
Will in a later life fall into the state of a snake or viper,
Or become a cruel and ferocious beast.
Just as a bamboo stalk splits open,
Or a banana plant and a female mule die upon pregnancy,
Returning harm upon themselves is also like this;
Therefore one should bring forth a mind of loving-kindness."
