善搏問言。汝以何事得知。答言。汝等二獸共集一處。相見自知。後二獸共集一處瞋眼相視。善牙師子。便作是念。我不應不問。便先下手打彼。爾時善牙師子。向善搏虎。而說偈言。
Good-Striker asked, 'From what matter do you know this?' [The jackal] replied, 'You two beasts gather together in one place; looking at each other, you will know for yourself.' Later, the two beasts gathered together in one place and glared at each other with angry eyes. Lion Good-Tooth then thought: 'I should not strike him first without asking.'
