依俱舍論云。若人正死。於何身分中意識斷滅。若一時身死。根共意識一時俱滅。若人次第死。此中偈曰。
According to the Abhidharmakośa-śāstra: When a person is dying, in which part of the body is the mental consciousness (manovijñāna) severed? If the body dies all at once, the faculties and the mental consciousness perish together at once. If a person dies gradually, the verse here says:
