2.33

佛以蛤天人所說偈。為四眾說法。是時眾中八萬四千人。皆得道跡。蛤天得須陀洹果。含笑而去。

The Buddha used the verse spoken by the frog devaputra to preach the Dharma to the fourfold assembly. At that time, eighty-four thousand people in the assembly all attained the trace of the Path. The frog devaputra attained the fruit of srotāpanna, and departed with a smile.
