又大乘蓮華藏經云。受佛禁戒不護將來。各言我是。於大乘法亦如冥夜。各自說言。我得佛法。受鐵鏘地獄苦事難述。從地獄出。瘖瘂聾盲不見正法。

Furthermore, the Dacheng lianhuazang jing says: 'They receive the Buddha's restrictive precepts but do not guard them in the future; each claims, "I am right," and toward the Mahāyāna Dharma they are as if in dark night. Each says of himself, "I have attained the Buddha's Dharma." The sufferings they undergo in the Iron Pike Hell are hard to recount. Emerging from hell, they are mute, deaf, and blind, and do not see the true Dharma.'
