又涅槃經云。若有受持讀誦書寫宣說。非時非國不請而說。輕心輕他自歎。隨處而說。反滅佛法。乃至令無量人死墮地獄。則是眾生惡知識也。

Furthermore, the Nirvāṇa-sūtra states: 'If someone upholds, reads, recites, copies, and expounds [the scripture] at the wrong time, in the wrong country, without being requested to preach, preaching with a slighting mind, looking down on others while praising oneself, preaching haphazardly wherever he is, he on the contrary destroys the Buddha-Dharma, even causing countless people to die and fall into hell. Such a one is an evil acquaintance of sentient beings.'
