Furthermore, the Sūtra of the Questions of the Kinnara King Drumaprabha states: At that time, the Kinnara King Drumaprabha took his own harp made of lapis lazuli, adorned with Jambūnada gold flowers and leaves, created by the fruition of pure and good karma; before the Tathāgata, he skillfully tuned the harp, along with eighty-four thousand other musical instruments. When this King Drumaprabha played this harp and sounded the various instruments, its sound was heard throughout this trichiliocosm. The sound of this harp and the wondrous singing obscured the music of all the gods of the desire realm; all the mountains, herbs, and groves were shaken throughout, like a person who is extremely drunk, reeling forward and backward, and Sumeru stumbled, rising and sinking unsettled. Except for the non-retrogressing bodhisattvas, all other ordinary beings and sages whatsoever, upon hearing this harp's sound and the musical tones, were unable to remain calm and rose from their seats to dance. All the śrāvakas abandoned their dignified deportment, becoming unrestrained and jubilant, like small children playing and dancing, unable to control themselves. At that time, the Bodhisattva Crown of Heaven said to these śrāvakas, Mahākāśyapa and the others: 'Venerables, you have already abandoned the defilements and attained the eight liberations; why do you now each abandon your dignified deportment, like those little children, leaping and dancing with your whole bodies?' At that time, the venerable śrāvakas replied, saying: 'Good son, we have no mastery in this matter; just as a great cyclone blows the trees, and they have no power to steady themselves, this is not what our original minds desired or took pleasure in.' At that time, the Bodhisattva Crown of Heaven said to Mahākāśyapa: 'Look now upon the awe-inspiring power of this non-retrogressing bodhisattva! Who, seeing such a thing, would not generate the unexcelled, truly authentic aspiration for bodhi?' The mighty power of the harp's sound was entirely the voice of expounding the Dharma; eight thousand bodhisattvas attained the forbearance of the non-arising of dharmas.
