又智度論云。如有富貴長者。作樂供養眾僧。白僧執事。我次第請僧於舍食。日日須請及至沙彌。執事不聽沙彌受請。諸沙彌言。以何意故。不聽沙彌。答言以檀越不喜請年少故。便說偈言。

Furthermore, the Dazhidulun states: "There was once an elder of wealth and honor who made music and offered it to the Saṅgha. He told the monastic administrator: 'I wish to invite the monks in turn to eat at my house, requiring an invitation day by day down to the novices.' The administrator would not allow the novices to receive the invitation. The novices said: 'For what reason do you not allow the novices?' He answered: 'Because the dānapati does not like to invite the young.' Thereupon he spoke a verse:
