放牛兒審諦　牛主有福德
六頭牛六年　成六十不減
放牛兒聰明　知分別諸相
如此放牛兒　先世佛所譽

"If the cowherd is attentive and discerning, / The owner of the cattle will possess merit and virtue; / Six cattle over six years / Will become sixty without decreasing. / If the cowherd is intelligent / And knows how to distinguish the various marks, / Such a cowherd / Has been praised by Buddhas of former ages."
