Furthermore, the *Amitābha-dundubhīsvara-rāja-dhāraṇī-sūtra* says: 'At that time the World-Honoured One addressed the bhikṣus: "In the western world of Sukhāvatī, there is currently a buddha named Amitābha. If there are members of the fourfold assembly who can properly uphold the name of that buddha, by this merit, when their life is about to end, Amitābha together with the great assembly will go to that person's place, causing him to see them. Having seen them, he will immediately rejoice, and his merit will double. By this cause and condition, the place where he is born will forever leave behind the form of defiled desire and womb-birth; he will abide purely within a fresh, wondrous jeweled lotus, spontaneously born by transformation, fully endowed with the six spiritual penetrations, his radiance blazing brightly. Amitābha Buddha is accompanied by śrāvakas, a Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha. His country is named Qingtai, the dwelling of a sacred king. Its city is ten thousand yojanas in length and breadth, filled with the kṣatriya clan. The father of Amitābha Buddha was named Moon-Above, a wheel-turning king (*cakravartin*); his mother was named Exquisite and Wondrous Countenance; his son was named Moon-Bright; the disciple who served him was named Vimalakīrti; the disciple of wisdom was named Bhadraprabhā; the disciple of diligent effort in psychic powers was named Mahāvikurvaṇa. At that time the demon king was named Invincible; there was a Devadatta named Tranquil."' Furthermore, the *Amitāyur-dhyāna-sūtra* says: 'The Buddha addressed Maitreya: "Even if the trichiliocosm were ablaze with fierce fire, for the sake of reciting the name of Amitābha Buddha, one must pass straight through it without considering it difficult."'
