Now, receiving form in the human world and encountering these defiled and turbid times, one receives a body of substance that is false, constantly abiding in an environment of deception. Therefore, false thoughts are fabricated, and delusions and inverted views intertwine in one's mind. Betraying the mind and defying principle, the words uttered are completely empty, deceiving and bewildering those before them and causing others to have mistaken understanding. This leads to myriad sufferings striving to entangle them, and a hundred sorrows gathering together. Sowing the cause of falsehood, one incurs the retribution of being despised and lowly; in the severe sufferings of hell, boiling cauldrons and burning coals are further added. Straying from the Dharma and confusing truth truly originate from false speech.
