Gain, loss, defamation, honor, praise, ridicule, suffering, and pleasure (also called the eight worldly phenomena). The Buddhabhūmi-śāstra states: "Obtaining agreeable things is called gain; losing agreeable things is called loss. Secret denigration is called defamation; secret praise is called honor. Face-to-face praise is called praise; face-to-face denigration is called ridicule. Oppressing and afflicting body and mind is called suffering; pleasing and delighting body and mind is called pleasure."
