惌敵（上於袁反孔注尚書云惌仇也考聲憎也顧野王曰恨望也蒼頡篇恨咎也說文恚也從心宛聲或作冤下亭歷反杜注左傳云敵猶對也說文仇也從攵啇聲也啇音滴也）。

惌敵 (The upper character has the fanqie 於袁 [yuān]. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: '惌 [yuān] means hatred.' The Kaosheng says: 'To detest.' Gu Yewang says: 'Resentment.' The Cangjie pian says: 'Resentful blame.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Rage; it takes 心 as radical and 宛 as phonetic.' Sometimes written as 冤. The lower character has the fanqie 亭歷 [tí]. Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '敵 [dí] is like match/oppose.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Enemy; it takes 攵 as radical and 啇 as phonetic.' 啇 is pronounced 滴 [dī]).
