幖幟（上必遙反桂苑珠叢云幡旗之類也說文幖即幟也從巾票聲票者音匹遙反經文從木從扌者非此用也下齒志反廣雅幟幡也說文從巾戠省聲也）。

幖幟 (The upper character has the fanqie 必遙 [biāo]. The Guiyuan zhucong says: 'A kind of pennant or banner.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A 幖 is a banner; it takes 巾 as radical and 票 as phonetic.' 票 has the fanqie 匹遙 [piāo]. In the sūtra text, writing it with 木 or 扌 is not the correct usage here. The lower character has the fanqie 齒志 [zhì]. The Guangya says: 'A 幟 is a pennant.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 巾 as radical and an abbreviated 戠 as phonetic').
