隆替（六冲反郭注爾雅云中央高起也說文豊大也從阜形聲也天計反俗字也爾雅相待也賈注國語云豊也說文作普廢也並兩立一偏下曰替會意字今作替俗字也）。

Flourishing and decline [隆替] (liu-chong fan [lóng]; Guo's commentary to the Erya: "Rising high in the center." Shuowen: "Rich and grand; composed of 'mound' [阜], a pictophonetic character." / tian-ji fan [tì], a vulgar character; Erya: "To wait for one another." Jia's commentary to the Guoyu: "Abundant." Shuowen: "Written as [普], meaning to abandon; two standing side by side with one leaning low is called ti [替], an associative compound character; now written as 替, which is a vulgar character").
