沿時（上音緣孔注尚書云順流而下曰沿杜注左傳沿緣也說文云緣水而下也從水形聲也）。

Following the times [沿時] (First character is pronounced yuan; Kong's commentary to the Shangshu: "Going down with the current is called yan [沿]." Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan: "Yan [沿] means to follow along [緣]." Shuowen: "To go downstream along the water; composed of 'water' [水], a pictophonetic character").
