Far transcending [迥出] (ying-ying fan [jiǒng], a rising-tone character; ancient script writes it as 冋, depicting a state's capital or towns, composed of 'mouth' [口]. Shuowen: "Outside the capital is called the suburbs [郊]; outside the suburbs is called the wilderness [野]; outside the wilderness is called the forest [林]; outside the forest is called jiong [冋]." Jiong [冋] is pronounced gui-ying fan [guǐ], depicting distant borders; it is composed of 'movement' [辵]; current vulgar forms using 向 are incorrect).
