秋露子（梵言舍利弗舊言舍梨子或言奢利富多囉此譯云鴝鵒子從母為名母眼似鴝鵒或如秋露鳥眼因以名焉舊云身子者謬也身者舍梨與此奢利聲有長短故有斯誤或言優波提舍者從父名之也）。

Son of the Autumn Egret (秋露子: in Sanskrit, *Śāriputra*; formerly called *Shelizi* or *Sheli-fuduo-luo*. Here translated as "Son of the Myna Bird". He was named after his mother: his mother's eyes resembled those of a myna bird, or the eyes of an autumn egret bird, so he was named after her. The old rendering "Body Son" [身子] is an error. "Body" is *śarīra*, which differs in vowel length from this *Śāri*, hence the error. When called *Upatiṣya*, that is after his father's name).
