彗星（隨銳反案彗妖星也左傳曰彗者所以除舊布新之象也乙巳占云索索然狀如掃帚孛孛然形如粉絮皆逆亂凶索之氣也考聲箭草也手持甡甡音詵或從竹作篲其星象掃帚故以名之亦會意字也）。

彗星 (Pronounced 隨 plus 銳 in fanqie. Note that a comet is an ominous star. The Zuozhuan says: 'A comet is an emblem for sweeping away the old and displaying the new.' The Yisi zhan says: 'Trailing like a broom, or billowy like fluff and cotton, they are all omens of rebellion, chaos, and disaster.' The Kaosheng says: 'It is a bamboo arrow-reed; held in the hand it is 甡甡.' 甡 is pronounced 詵. It is also written with the bamboo radical as 篲. Because this star resembles a broom, it was named after it; it is also an ideogram).
