纂曆（祖管反考聲纂集桂苑珠藂聚也說文從糸𮅕聲也𮅕音桑管反下力的反孔注尚書云節氣之度也大戴禮云聖人慎守日月之數以察星辰之行以序四時之從逆故謂之曆治也從曰𠩵聲也𠩵音同也）。

“Compiling the calendar” (纂曆: the upper character is fanqie 祖 + 管 [zuǎn]. The Kaosheng says: “纂 means to compile.” The Guiyuan zhucun says: “It means to gather.” The Shuowen says: “It is composed of 糸 with 𮅕 as phonetic; 𮅕 is fanqie 桑 + 管 [suǎn].” The lower character is fanqie 力 + 的 [lì]. Kong's commentary on the Classic of Documents says: “The degrees of solar terms.” The Da Dai Liji says: “The sage reverently preserves the numbers of the sun and moon to observe the movements of stars and asterisms, in order to order the alignments and reversals of the four seasons; hence it is called 曆, meaning governance.” It is composed of 曰 with 𠩵 as phonetic; 𠩵 has the same pronunciation).
