Moisture-born (濕生: [濕 has] the fanqie shi + ru; the Kaosheng says that 濕 means wet and moist; the Shuowen jiezi says it means dark and damp; it takes its classifier from 水 "water" and 一, where 一 represents covering; when soil is covered and moisture exists, it is damp; it takes 𢆶 and 土; in sūtra texts it is often written 濕, which is incorrect; that 濕 has the fanqie ta + za, being the name of the Shi River located in Dongwuyang in Dong Commandery, which flows northeast through the Pingyuan of Chen to enter the sea at Qiancheng; 𢆶 is pronounced you).
