Frivolous discourse (戲論: [xì is] the fanqie xī + yì [希義]. The Erya says xì means jesting. The Kaosheng says it means playing, sporting. The Mao Poetry commentary says it means leisure and pleasure. The character dictionaries say it means the readiness of the three armies. The Shuowen says it is composed of wù [戊] with xì [䖒], pronounced xī, as phonetic; below it has dòu [豆]).
