Startled 㦍然 (the first character is 五各 fanqie; character dictionaries state: "㦍 means alarmed"; the Shuowen says: "Straightforward speech"; it is composed of 心 with 㖾 phonetic; in the text of the treatise it is written as 愕, a vulgar form used interchangeably).
